“Appointed Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino’s decision to hold a ‘State of the Town’ today, without any public notification, and when most honest, hardworking taxpayers are at work, is completely par for the corrupt course. It’s sad that our local government continues to operate in secrecy, and takes every step possible to avoid answering to local residents. The inactions of Supervisor Saladino and Oyster Bay Town Hall to post a simple notice flyer on their website, social media or in any local paper, is further proof that we are living under a corrupt form of government where propaganda and publicity comes before everyday people. “

The local Democratic Party needs to do a much more aggressive job to communicate with and urge TOB residents to vote for specific positive Democratic responses to our Town’s challenges.

I strongly agree that the taxpayers in TOB deserve transparency in our local government’s operations. From my perspective as a Town resident for over 18 years, the sad state of affairs due to mismanagement, fiscal irresponsibility, and out-right corruption by TOB political leadership must end.
The unwillingness of the Republican Party to provide solutions for the Town’s challenges is a clear call for change. Unfortunately, I have heard/seen little from the Dem slate. I suggest: more publicity efforts to engage the local media, as well as a letter writing campaign by motivated registered Dems to urge our neighbors to vote for a team dedicated to cleaning up our Town. I’m distributing letters here in Syosset one block at a time. As a long-time marketing communications executive, I am available to help draft communications. Dems MUST win control of the TOB political agenda in order to correct what has been allowed to go wrong.

Nice website. Good info that should be viewed by every TOB resident. But evidently no one is finding this site. With 3 months to the election, Dems must deliver message for TOB clean up. If not already planned, invest in an email direct marketing list for the Town’s population and develop a campaign to deliver Dems’ message along with links to the Platform, the candidates’ bios, etc. If budget allows, deliver printed direct mail as well. Direct supporters to write and deliver letters to their neighbors urging them to clean house at the voting booth. If the team needs help with marketing promotional outreach, I spent my career crafting advertising and corporate communications. And I want to help elect the Dem slate.

I can’t find the address of the Syosset campaign office so I can drop in. An oversight?
