Kevin Thomas is an attorney and an appointee of the US Commission on Civil Rights to the New York State Advisory Committee, a federal agency tasked with civil rights oversight. He lives in Levittown with his wife, Rincy, a pharmacist, and their dog, Sirius. He is running to become the next State Senator from NY’s 6th State district because he believes families in Long Island need someone to fight for them. Kevin knows that what we do over the next few years in the State Senate, will determine our destiny and the quality of life we will give to our children and grandchildren.

As an attorney, Kevin worked tirelessy to bring justice to those who could not stand up for themselves.  You can read about Kevin’s work in the Guardian, Village VoicePropublica and The New York Times, twice.

This campaign is about fighting for the less fortunate, those without a voice and those who have given up hope in the system. In Albany, Kevin will take this fight to Republicans in the Senate who are trying to turn the clock back on the progress of the past decade.

As an Indian American, who immigrated to the United States with his family when he was 10 years old, Kevin understands the promise that the United States holds and he believes that he is a living testament that the American dream still exists, and he believes every New Yorker should have the same opportunities that he had.
